The Vineyard Run is totally unique! Where else in Texas can you start and end a 5k at a real vineyard. And once you arrive at Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine you will be transported to wine country. Enjoy great Jazz music and free wine tasting afterwards. Our 5k course is an out and back course running on the streets near Delaney Vineyard.

5k Vineyard Run Awards:
We will award special Vineyard Run glasses to the top male and female overall, top male and female masters. Wine glass awards will be given to the top three in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+. Because our awards are delicate wine glasses, we will not mail any awards not picked up at the event.

ChronoTrack Timing at The Vineyard Run:
The Vineyard Run will use ChronoTrack timing system, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Chronotrack is the latest timing technology. Your timing tag is now disposable and will come with your bib number when you get your race packet. No more lining up to get your timing chip race morning, and no waiting to have your timing chip retrieved at the finish line! Awards will be based on gun time.

Course Map

Free Wine Tasting:
Discover the great Texas wines of Delaney Vineyards with wine tasting afterwards. Your entry will entitle you to tasting as long as the wine lasts. This year we will taste the following.
Texas Rose:
With a fruity, semi sweet beginning, this Petit Verdot/Chardonnay blend provides a savory, lingering finish for both novice and experienced wine palates. A consistent medal winner, Texas Rose has been awarded 11 Medals in International Wine Competition over the last 6 years.
2007 Sauvignon Blanc:
One of the newest members of the Delaney family of wines, the not totally dry white wine will surprise the most critical white wine lover. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes and grown on our estate vineyard in the High Plains of Texas at our Lamesa Winery. Served with any seafood, white meat, or your favorite salad.
2005 Merlot:
This Delaney Estate Merlot is aged 12 months in French Oak following the initial fermentation process. This medium bodied dry wine is both soft and smooth to the palate and pairs well with both meat and pasta dishes.

You may also experience expanded tasting at Delaney. For $1.00 per tasting you can taste the following 6 wines.
2007 Sauvignon Blanc
Dry, light, refreshing with citrus pear undertones.
2006 Chardonnay Reserve
West Texas sunshine produces this smooth, soft, and relaxing white wine.
Aged and fermented in French Oak.
2007 Cynthiana
Our newest, limited Grapevine Vineyard release, heavy body, dry finish.
1995 Cabernet Sauvignon
This fine wine has exceded our expectations as it continues to age gracefully in the bottle. Limited number of bottles left. in our inventory. 1995 was a good year!!
2007 Muscat Canelli
Aromatic, light and naturally semi-sweet
2009 Silver Medal- Finger Lakes Competition
Texas Rose
Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli, Petit Verdot blend. A fruity, semi sweet beginning and soft finish. 2005 Silver, Bronze Medal Winner

To keep with our cool vineyard theme, we will feature cool jazz music in the Delaney Vineyards. This year enjoy the Jazz styling of Gloria D'Arezzo & Friends

-- Go North on Highway 121 and exit on Glade Road.
-- Continue through the intersection going past McDonalds. Turn right at the first street, Champagne Blvd. There is a “Care Now” facility on the corner.
-- Turn left at the first street, Merlot.

FROM DALLAS:

-- Go West on Highway 635 and join Highway 121 South (airport / Fort Worth).
-- Follow signs to 121 South to Fort Worth. You will pass the North Entrance of the airport. Exit on Glade Road. Make a U turn under the over pass and proceed North on the access road. You will pass McDonalds. Turn right at the first street, Champagne Blvd. There is a “Care Now” facility on the corner.
-- Turn left at the first street, Merlot.

FROM LEWISVILLE:

-- Follow signs to Highway 121 South to Fort Worth. You will pass the North Entrance of the airport. Exit on Glade Road. Make a U turn under the over pass and proceed North on the access road. You will pass McDonalds. Turn right at the first street, Champagne Blvd. There is a “Care Now” facility on the corner.
-- Turn left at the first street, Merlot.

FROM ARLINGTON / IRVING:

-- Go North on Highway 360 and make a left exit (West) on Glade Road.
-- Go West for about 1 mile. You will pass a flashing red light and then a stop sign. Continue West, at the large power lines and a day care center on the right, turn right on to Champagne Blvd.
-- Turn right at the second street, Merlot.
