Event Date:October
4, 2008 - 8:30 AM
Location: 2000
Champagne Blvd - Delaney Vineyards - Grapevine Texas
The Vineyard Run is
the only running event in Dallas/Ft Worth to go completely European.
We call it European because the course will be marked in kilometers.
No mile markers in this European Run! You may have to do the math
in your head as you run or just ignore it all and run as fast
as you can! Remember if you ran a race in Europe all your markers
would be in kilometers. The course design, the food, and the entertainment
are unique and fun! Our 5k course is an out and back course
running on the streets near Delaney Vineyard.

Entry Form

Free Wine Tasting:
Discover the great Texas wines of
Delaney Vineyards with wine tasting afterwards. Your entry
will entitle you to tasting as long as the wine lasts. This year
we will taste the following.
Sweet Texas Red:
A subtle blend of four grape varieties grown in the Delaney High
Plains, Lamesa Vineyard. Sweet Texas Red is the first supple,
sweet wine produced by Delaney Vineyards. A crowd pleasing wine,
you'll be surprised with the mellow sweetness and balanced, consistent
finish. Served chilled or at room temperature and enjoy with salads
barbecue or desert.
2002 Chardonnay Reserve:
Semi-dry with a touch of supple sweetness, this aromatic yellow/
gold Chardonnay develops its unique complexity aging 12 months
in French Oak Barrels in both the Grapevine and Lamesa Vineyards.
Serve this Chardonnay chilled, (but not too cold) and enjoy its
buttery banana bouquet with your favorite entrée containing
chicken, pork, fish, cheese or fruit.
2005 Merlot:
(No description available)
You may also experience expanded tasting for an
extra fee inside at Delaney. Or you may purchase a bottle to enjoy.
T-shirts:
All entrants will receive a T-shirt with our Vineyard Run logo
Bonus T-shirts:
Each year Mellew Productions produces 10-15 run/walk events. All
the T-shirts left over from these events will be brought to The
Vineyard Run and will given away free to whomever gets in line
first after the 5k run.
Music:
To keep with our cool European theme, we will feature cool jazz
music in the Delaney Vineyards. This year enjoy the Jazz styling
of Gloria
D'Arezzo & Friends
